I take the quizzes on Facebook every now and then. You just click on them and gives you a result. Well this quiz was “What song are you?”. I like music, in my opinion, I am creative and realistic so I thought it would be way off. I was so wrong.
What Song Are You?
This link told me my song was Imagine by John Lennon. I first heard this song when I was a teenager. I loved watching Quantum Leap because it was inspiring to me that one person could help the World so much. When I heard Imagine it made me cry and still does today.
I was raised in a Christian family, went to church, graduated from a Christian High School, and I am 100% positive there is an omnipotent being that created everything and has a purpose for us. I believed this since I was a child. My mother believes I got saved, dedicating ones life to Jesus Christ keeps your soul from hell, because of a free religion church. Well she is wrong. When I started going to a Christian school I was 12. My principal preached to us every Friday and talked during gym, choir, and Bible. He asked once if we ever doubted that Jesus existed. He also asked if we believe there is an all powerful being. That is when it hit me… I do! I knew there had to be something in control, nothing can happen by chance. Even if evolution was the way we were created the process happened the way it did because of a supernatural being. That day I decided to dedicate the life God the Almighty gave me back to Him. I talked to my principal near the end of the day, because we had choir, and he congratulated me for my decision. We bowed our heads a prayed to God for Salvation. I have had a feeling since I was a teenager that I would have a position of authority. I wanted to go into the Air Force, but I have a disorder and would never get accepted. Then as I got my first summer job I saw myself taking care of my parents forever so they would never need anything. This was good because it gave me ambition. I tried selling Cutco knives, fail, then I got a job at McDonald’s. It worked out good and I liked fast food. When I went to college I got a job at Burger King and wanted to make Manager. I did get moved up in ranking among the crew, but never made Shift management.
While I was working in two fast food jobs I was going to college for Computer Aided Drafting and Design. I really enjoyed the class, but I hit an obstacle my last semester. I was having issues with civil engineering. All i had to do was calculate coordinates where I wanted the line to draw. It is like playing connect the dots on a x,y axis. I got frustrated and dropped the class. I never returned. I guess my dream was shattered, it became a nightmare.
Many more dreams
I have always believed I could do what I set my mind to. I thought I was realistic. Thinking I maybe wrong. I did live a dream though. I made manager at a restaurant where I currently live, unfortunately it is like one day I woke up and reality bite me in the butt. I was demoted because I sent a crew member home because they were being subordinate. I left that job and went to a factory working 12 hour shifts. Meanwhile I attempted to start an online business. It did not work. I don’t know maybe that was a dream within a dream. I always kept positive that it would pickup and my business would go viral. Then the sun rose and I woke up again.
So many dreams that never come true. When true life is not and more than likely will never be what you dream it to be. I dream of living in the city with lots of lights and much to do, family wife two kids, pool, sports car, truck, and a restaurant with customers that my business makes happy everyday. All is a dream and none has come true. Face it reality bites.
I choose to share this because this is truly me.
You are born dreamer. Your grandiose visions of a better world, are unfortunately the reason that you fail again and again into the harsh realities of the world as it is. But no matter how many times you fall on your face, you stand up again and stay true to your ideas. And at least in the small areas, you make sure that there is an oasis of peace for family and friends.
