It seems life has gotten harder than it was thirty years ago. I was just a little kid back then, but with the internet, politics, and the Millennial generation wanting everything and not working for it has made life not so easy. I remember growing up seeing my parents get up in the mourning, get me ready for school, they went to work, and came home and did dinner and other “responsibilities”. Today is not like that too much anymore. There are so many on welfare. Some may need it others are using the system. What needs done is stop assuming everyone is abusing the system and be kind because it will come back to you, so will being mean. You know the old saying, “What goes around comes around”. It is so true.
Life Gives You Lemons Make Lemonade, But Do Not Let Others Spike the Punch
I do not know about you but I have gotten use to things going south. It seems like every four years I lose my job. I have gotten use to it and was looking for a job about a year before I got fired before my last one. You see I lose my job because of my disability, epilepsy. Epilepsy is a chronic disorder that causes unprovoked, recurrent seizures. A seizure is a sudden rush of electrical activity in the brain.
Since I lose my job every four years and I am getting to that age we do not mention I am really worried about where am I going to go in life. I sometimes feel like I am a lot older than I am. It is not easy to live with epilepsy. Everytime we have a seizure it kills some brain cells that never grow back. It can slowly but surely harm how we learn new things, remember old memories, how we rationalize from day to day. I often look back to my early days and remember when I had the incentive of either running a business or being a General Manager at Burger King or McDonalds. Today I cannot stand to be around people in a place like fast food because when a person comes up and complains their fries are cold and expect new fries. Well if you sit there for 20 minutes texting on your phone of course your fries are going to get cold. This is one reason I cannot work around people anymore, I have lost my patience.
I am telling you all this because we all have a dark side to our lives. We just need to find a way to make it work the right way. Showing kindness to other people will help them and help then next person who comes up. You go up complain about your cold fries and they keep their mouth shut and get you new fries. Then a nice customer comes up for a bag and the employee just snaps at them for no reason. Well the employee just got fired and the customer is upset. In worse case scenario they go commit suicide because they feel everyone hates them and the employee pushed them over which you pushed over because you chewed him out because of cold fries you let sit for 20 minutes.
Kindness Will Show You The Light
I have always believed in being kind to others. I went to a Christian School since the fifth grade and graduated in 2000. I was not treated well but always believed that kindness needed to be passed on even to those who are not kind. I had a small sign and still have it today with the passage below. I also memorized it in school and never forgot it. It is a base point in my life. I enjoy making others smile because it makes me happy.
Ephesians 4:32 King James Version (KJV)
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.BibleGateway.com
I will never comprehend why everyone cannot be kind to others. If everyone was happy this would be an awesome world. Although everyone has to be right all the time, make a decision before even asking a question, and finds it a burden to listen to ideas. Today is not what it use to be. We need more kindness in the World than hate.
