Woman refusing to return $1.2M after Charles Schwab ‘clerical error’: Sheriff

by Associated Press Sunday, April 13th 2021

“A former sheriff’s dispatcher in a suburb of New Orleans has been arrested, accused of refusing to return more than $1.2 million that had been accidentally deposited into her brokerage account, authorities said.” Fox Business Lifestyle

I am not sure but I thought there was nothing illegal on her side. 🤔 It’s like they are being Indian givers. If she’s not aware of what’s happening and she tries to return it then it’s on them. I don’t think she even needs to try to return it she just has more legal proof that she didn’t do something to interfere with transaction. If I am wrong then that’s the way it should be. Hey I have given a $20 back instead a $10 and my drawer ended up $10 short before but $1.2 million is a little steep. Also who did the transaction? They should be fired. Also be investigated and make sure they weren’t in on making it a scam. I would like your opinion and thought.
